The best alternative to water? Tea! Tea is one of the most popular beverages and it comes out with a lot of variants. It doesn’t matter whether it is hot or cold since there are different kinds of tea that we can enjoy.

Why drink tea? Numerous studies support regular tea drinking promotes good health, and one of the reasons is to prevent dehydration.

What are the instances of getting dehydrated? Aside from doing physical activities and staying outside without drinking enough water, you can get dehydrated from:

·         Fasting
·         Rapid weight loss

Usually, dehydration from illnesses is recommended to drink fluids with electrolytes for faster recovery but since we are talking about a daily lifestyle, drinking certain amount of fluids is highly advised.

More sugar means more fatty acids! If you don’t exercise regularly, it will just pile in your body and will make you fat! There are lots of diseases that we can get from being obese so you better watch what you eat.

Second reason is less caffeine consumption when drinking tea, comparing to coffee.

In fact, most herbal “teas” made with just herbs do not contain caffeine.

Aside from that, tea is not expensive as you think although during middle ages tea is considered as a luxury. Tea is now a very affordable luxury that keeps your liquid up where you are.

Beverages like soda, chocolate milk drink and other sweetened beverages are not advisable to drink to aid dehydration. Water is still the best, however, if you want to drink something tasty, tea is here for you.

I start my day drinking a cup of tea not because it’s hype but because I appreciate the relaxing aroma and the rich taste of my favorite tea. Drinking 6 glasses of water and 2-3 cups of tea a day is enough to keep you refreshed and hydrated.

Let’s drink tea and celebrate great health!
